SECTION 01
Complete oral diagnosis before cosmetic design
Decay, gum disease, cracks, erosion, grinding, missing teeth and bite problems can affect whether an aesthetic treatment is appropriate. Pain, swelling or infection needs timely dental care rather than a cosmetic-only discussion.
The dentist may use examination, photographs, radiographs, periodontal assessment, bite records or scans as indicated. Remote images cannot show hidden decay, roots or bone support.
- Bring recent dental records and radiographs if available.
- Report pain, sensitivity, bleeding gums and jaw symptoms.
- List prior veneers, crowns, implants and orthodontic treatment.
SECTION 02
Compare treatments by tooth preservation
Whitening changes color, bonding adds resin, veneers cover selected surfaces, crowns surround more tooth structure and orthodontics changes position. Each addresses different concerns and involves different maintenance and irreversibility.
Ask how much healthy tooth would be altered, whether a less invasive option is reasonable and how the proposed design affects speech, hygiene and bite. A copied celebrity smile may not fit the person's face or dental health.
SECTION 03
Plan materials, sequence and maintenance
Material selection should consider location, bite forces, color, translucency, allergy or sensitivity history and repair options. Gum or orthodontic care may need to precede final restorations.
Discuss sensitivity, chipping, debonding, gum response, shade limitations, root treatment risk, replacement and ongoing professional maintenance. No restoration should be described as lifetime or maintenance-free.
SECTION 04
Keep travel compatible with dental stages
Some care may use local anesthesia and allow same-day departure after observation and dental clearance, while multi-stage treatment can require try-ins, laboratory work and several appointments. International travel should occur only after the treating dentist confirms the mouth is ready and the required follow-up is arranged.
This site does not publish a numerical price for the procedure. Once the clinical scope is sufficiently clear, the consultation and finance team can confirm a tailored written quote, including stated assumptions, inclusions and exclusions.
- Ask whether temporary restorations are part of the plan.
- Confirm laboratory and review timelines before booking flights.
- Identify a dentist at home for maintenance and urgent care.
