China Clinic and Surgeon Verification: Research Worksheet

Verification is a chain: the right person, the right facility, the right scope and the right current relationship for the proposed care. A missing link should become a question, not an assumption.

1. Start with official identity searches

The National Health Commission services below are in Chinese and ask for names and a verification code. Obtain the exact Chinese names from the provider; do not rely only on English spellings.

2. Separate evidence from a provider's statement

Write “official record checked,” “provider statement only” or “unconfirmed,” with the source and date. Registration alone does not establish procedure-specific skill, current operating privileges or expected results.

3. Resolve mismatches before committing

If a search is unavailable or finds no match, record that limitation and ask for clarification; it is not proof that someone is unlicensed. Recheck if the doctor, facility or procedure changes. Keep private medical and identity documents out of public notes.

SECTION 01

Resolve identity before assessing claims

Record the clinician's full original-language and translated name where available, current facility, department or role and any professional identifier. Confirm that search results refer to the same person rather than another clinician with a similar name.

Ask who will actually examine and operate. A brand account, team portrait or consultant title may not identify the responsible clinician.

SECTION 02

Verify the facility separately

Obtain the full registered facility name and treatment address. Confirm whether consultation, surgery and inpatient observation occur at the same entity or different locations.

Use current primary or official sources where available, and ask the facility to confirm the proposed procedure, surgeon and anesthesia team. A shared marketing logo does not prove authorization.

  • Match legal name, address and service location.
  • Confirm after-hours and emergency arrangements.
  • Record the date of each check.

SECTION 03

Match scope and privileges to the plan

A license does not mean that every clinician performs every procedure in every facility. Ask whether the professional's current scope and facility relationship cover the named operation and anesthesia setting.

For a combined procedure, verify each component and the responsibility of each professional. If the plan changes after examination, repeat the check for the revised scope.

SECTION 04

Document uncertainty and recheck

Save the source, date and wording of each confirmed fact. If a claim comes only from marketing, label it accordingly and request supporting evidence rather than presenting it as independently verified.

Recheck important time-sensitive information shortly before treatment. Submit possible factual errors through a correction route with evidence and avoid publishing private records or unsupported accusations.

  4. 04Match professional scope and facility authorization to the exact plan.
  5. 05Record evidence source, wording and access date.
  6. 06Recheck when the clinician, facility or procedure changes.

FAQ

Questions patients often ask

These answers provide general context. A treating doctor must interpret them for an individual case.

Is a clinic website a primary source?

It is a primary source for what the clinic claims, but not necessarily independent proof of licensure, privileges or outcomes.

Should I verify a surgeon and hospital separately?

Yes. Professional status, facility status and the clinician's authorization at that facility are distinct questions.

What if the operating surgeon changes?

Pause and verify the new clinician, review the clinical plan and consent again before proceeding.

How often should information be rechecked?

Recheck time-sensitive facts near the decision and whenever the clinician, facility or treatment scope changes.

This guide is general institutional information, not diagnosis, personal medical advice, a treatment recommendation, a price quotation or a promise of outcome. Suitability, risks, anesthesia, recovery, costs and travel timing require an in-person assessment, a defined plan and written informed consent.
